Physiotherapist or Hand Therapist

· Fixed-term covering parental leave (7/1/2020 - 6/1/2021)

The Team

The Physiotherapy Department at Christchurch Hospital is a large team with diverse clinical interests and specialties. We're currently seeking an experienced Physiotherapist, ideally who is a registered Hand Therapist or with experience in Hand Therapy to join our Hand Therapy team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Physiotherapist with musculoskeletal expertise to develop specialist skills, or for a Hand Therapist to continue working in this field. You will be part of a team of physiotherapists and occupational therapists who work together to provide specialist care in the area of hand therapy, working in close association with plastics, orthopaedics and rheumatology departments.

This is a fixed-term, part-time opportunity (24 hours per week) covering parental leave from approximately January 2020 - January 2021.

The Role

As a Physiotherapist you will be responsible for assessing and managing the treatment and rehabilitation of a variety of musculoskeletal conditions affecting the upper limb. Full support will be provided for the right candidate.

Your skills:

· Ability to manage a varied and busy caseload

· Flexibility and adaptability

· Problem-solving skills

· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

· Effective inter-disciplinary team working

· Registered Hand Therapist (or willing to work towards),

· Interested in developing hand therapy skills
